Absolutely fabulous windout extending dining table made in the late Victorian period in the style of Thomas Chippendale. The wonderfully bookmatched veneers are beautiful, as are the wide cross banding and double row of herring bone or chevron banding. The table can be used with any combination of leaves but for maximum impact requires the full extension. Unusually the leaves are 1.25" thick, in 40 years I have never seen this before. Another very unusual feature is the shaped cross grain mouldings underneath the leaves. The table is reputed to have been owned by the Rank organisation and used both as a board room table and studio "prop". Measuring 14' long x 54" wide it will seat 14-16 guests with ease.
